  2. In a shallow dish, stir together the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
  4. Heat about 4 cups of vegetable oil in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven to 325°F.
  5. Fry the wings in the 325°F oil for 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
  6. Remove the wings to a plate lined with paper towels.
  7. Let the oil come back up to 325°F before adding the next batch.
  8. Fry the drumsticks in the 325°F oil for 10 to 13 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
