- Place the 6 eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
- Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by 1 inch.
- Bring the water with the eggs to a boil over high heat.
- Boil the eggs for 12 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water with a slotted spoon.
- Let the eggs cool in the ice water for 10 minutes.
- Peel the cooled eggs.
